Eat More Calories To Lose More Weight.

Eat More Calories To Lose More Weight.

If someone is struggling to lose weight, they typically reduce the calories and end up finding that it will not work. Lowering the calories does eventually lower your metabolism. Yet, if you compare spreading your calories out with three meals with two snacks on a 1500-calories per day diet with an increase in calories (2000) a day – but ONLY consume two meals per day, you will lose more weight.

When you go to the grocery store, look around. You will see a lot of marketing statements that emphasize a product has low calories. Some people have idea that eating low calorie is going to help them lose weight. They keep trying over and over and it never works. Despite that people are fixated on the calories.

Even if ice cream has low calories or cookies are low calories it is not going to help you lose weight. Let us look at 1,500 calories versus 2,000 calories. For example for a total of 1500 calories you have breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner, and snack at night, even if these snacks were an apple or nuts or something so called healthy, like a protein bar, versus 2,000 calories a day eating only two meals a day, no snacks, you are going to lose way more weight doing 2000 calories then you would doing 1500 calories.

Why?

Every time you eat, you stimulate insulin. If you have six meals a day versus two meals a day, the frequency of eating is a big factor in the release of quantities of insulin. Insulin is the hormone that blocks fat burning and weight loss.

All it takes is a tiny bit of excess insulin above normal to completely nullify your chances of losing weight so if you are eating so-called healthy foods yet you are still eating them frequently that is enough to bump you out of weight loss.

Do an experiment. For one week eat 1,500 calories and spread it through the day and then the next week increase your calories to 2,000 but only have a lunch and a dinner and no snacks. You will find that you are going to lose more weight eating 2 meals a day and 2000 calories.

The reason is that you are triggering insulin. Try it and get the results for yourself.
