Most people fall into 1 of 4 body types.

1. The hips and thighs
When people carry weight in their hips and thighs. This is too much estrogen.
2. A protruding belly gives an apple shaped body.
This is a liver problem. It is an indication of Metabolic Syndrome X, also known as insulin resistance and Syndrome X. This is a pre-diabetic condition.
The symptoms and features are:
- Fasting hyperglycemia – diabetes mellitus type 2 or impaired fasting glucose, impaired glucose tolerance, or insulin resistance.
- High blood pressure.
- Central obesity (also known as visceral, male-pattern or apple shaped adiposity), overweight with fat deposits mainly around the waist
- Decreased HDL cholesterol and elevated triglycerides
3. Sagging belly
Some people have a sagging belly. This is an issue with the adrenals. You have too much cortisol. Cortisol is the stress hormone.
4. All over
Some people carry the stubborn weight all over their body and not in any one place. This is because of a thyroid problem. In many cases, this thyroid issue is secondary to higher estrogen or a liver problem. We will address the root cause not this secondary body type.
Stubborn weight is a symptom of something else. What? Your metabolism is slow. What causes this? We do not want to treat the slow metabolism directly with some pill or some berry or stimulant because there is an underlying reason why it is slow and it has to do with hormones.
We do not want to treat the weight directly because that is going to just treat the symptom it is not going to work. We do not want to treat the metabolism. We want to strengthen the hormones.
What does that mean? We want to help fix the underlying cause. The underlying cause has to do with hormones.
There are six fat burning hormones that are triggered by various things that your do eating, exercise and things like that. This has been a huge focus for a lot of people. They are focusing in to stimulate fat burning but what they do not know is this there are three fat-making hormones that are dominating.
There are 6 fat-burning hormones and there are 3 dominating fat-making hormones.
The 3 fat-making hormones that affect your body shape are:
1. Insulin
2. Cortisol
3. Estrogen
The first one is called insulin. This would explained all the low carb diets, low glycemic and low sugar diets. You probably know sugars bad for you and you might have cravings. If you have cravings that means is that you are burning sugar, you are not burning fat.
In the presence of a little bit of insulin fat-burning hormones will be blocked. It takes just a little bit of insulin to destroy fat burning.
The second one is called cortisol. Cortisol is a fat-making hormone. In the presence of too much cortisol and that would be stress, these again are blocked.
Lastly estrogen. In the presence of too much estrogen fat-burning hormones are blocked.
To be fat-burning start by eliminating these three counter hormones. There is various ways that we can do that using eating plans, certain techniques and even nutritional techniques.
If estrogen is too high you are going to gain weight in the hip and if cortisol is too high you will gain weight in the belly. It does not matter how many sit-ups or how many hours of exercise you do it is not going to work.
