97 % of Overweight People Gain the Weight Back.

Why do people gain the weight back after reaching their dieting goal?

It is because most dieters do not have a second goal. You cannot expect to stay at a healthy weight without continuing to eat healthy foods and exercise.

Once you reach your desired weight, you cannot just revert to an unhealthy lifestyle. Wrong thinking is that the weight will stay off; that you can go back to the old lifestyle.

You have to give your body what it wants and needs, and it will give you what you want in return – health, which leads to weight loss.

What does your body really want? It wants real, healthy foods that are full of nutrients – not processed junk and empty calories.

It is similar to a marriage where you meet someone then you decide to get married and then you get married. You have to work on the relationship. You have to find out what your partner wants, what you want and exchange back and forth. If you are only expecting to give them what you want and you do not give anything in exchange you end up with what’s called a divorce.

It is the same thing happens with the body you have to find out what it wants and needs and then it will give you what you want – pleasure of eating healthy foods, the feeling of being healthy etc.

What does your body really want?  It wants actual real food.  Food is defined as a combination of fuel and nutrients. The nutrients are not necessarily flavourful. It is the flavours attract us to the food with the highest nutrients. Your body really wants is food that’s flavourful. The exact same flavourful foods come with the key nutrients.

For example, taste an industrially grown tomato and then taste one from an organic garden. The garden tomato has way more flavour.  There is wonderful pleasurable sensation from eating real food.

Doritos and KFC have lots of flavour but they come with chemicals that are not found in nature.  Stick with real food so you give your body what it really needs nutrient dense foods and then it will give you what you really want which is health.

Know that carbohydrate cravings are not natural. They only begin after you start eating refined carbs. When you get healthy, you will find that your cravings for carbs go away.

In summary, you do not need a weight loss goal. Instead, you need a get-healthy goal. If you continually work on building up your health, you will hit your weight loss goals naturally.

If you really want the best solution to maintain your weight do not have a weight loss goal, have a get healthy goal something that you can exchange with your body by giving it what it wants so it can then give you not just a healthy body but weight loss is a by-product of getting healthy.
